I’ve been a version of you
especially if you’re a teacher who’s always holding it together for everyone else while feeling drained inside.
I know what it’s like to push yourself to achieve while never quite feeling like you fit. The one who second-guesses everything, tries to keep everyone happy, and wonders if they’re really enough.
That’s why I now work with teachers who give so much to others but end up anxious, drained, and running on empty. From the outside, you’re the dependable one — the organised one — but inside it feels heavy. You love your work, yet the constant pressure, comparison, and guilt for even thinking about putting yourself first leaves you exhausted.
I get it. Because I’ve been there too — and I know there’s another way.
Growing Up Different
Living with a disability meant I often felt out of place. I pushed myself to be the “easy one” — the peacekeeper, the perfectionist, the one who never made waves. It left me anxious, unsure, and disconnected from my own needs.
That experience taught me how lonely it feels to always strive, always please, and still wonder if you’re enough. It’s also why I value honesty, humour, and real conversations in therapy.
If any of this sounds familiar, you can read about what therapy with me looks like on my Work With Me page.
Finding my voice.————————
What helped me was having a space where I could finally be myself — without pressure, without judgment. A space where I realised I didn’t have to live for everyone else, and could begin making choices that reflected me.
Little by little, I felt lighter, clearer, more confident. Most importantly, I started to believe I was worth prioritising.
This is the journey I now support teachers through — with warmth, curiosity, and sometimes a bit of swearing to keep it real.
A space for you.
Therapy in West midlands and Online for teachers UK-wide. Counselling to rebuild confidence and self-esteem.
That’s what I offer you too:
A space where you can be truly seen and heard.
Somewhere to gently untangle the self-doubt, quiet the inner critic, and figure out what’s weighing you down and make space for the parts of you that deserve more room — your humour, confidence, and calm. A chance to stop living life just to keep everyone else happy and start making decisions that reflect you.
Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you lay the backpack down, unpack what’s inside, and make more space for your humour, confidence, and calm.
The way I work
Therapy with me isn’t stiff or clinical. It’s human. Clients say it feels more like a conversation than ‘being in therapy’.
I use plain English, not jargon. I’ll bring in metaphors (like that backpack) so things feel easier to grasp and connect with.
Honesty and humour matter to me. If a week has been shit, you can say that here. There’s no judgment, just space to show up as you are.
I’m laid-back, but not passive. I’ll remind you of your strengths when you forget, and gently nudge you to notice the patterns that might be keeping you stuck.
Above all, I believe you deserve to feel seen, valued, and comfortable being yourself — without having to keep proving you’re “enough.” That’s the kind of space I hold, and why teachers who feel stretched too thin often find therapy with me a good fit.
